The timeless classic overdrive pedal, the OD-1 (silver screw era), equipped with the NEC C4558C op-amp!

This OD-1 features the NEC C4558C op-amp, which is quite rare for an OD-1. While it retains the OD-1's characteristic mild and sustained sound, it doesn't have the rich midrange of the JRC4558D-equipped units often found in the same period. Instead, it has more bass and a heavier sound. The distortion is fundamentally natural, producing a classic, rock-infused drive sound with a solid edge. This particular unit, serial #8900, was manufactured around December 1979 (just before the start of the 1980s!).
