The 303 PAF Special builds on the classic Heritage PAF with low to medium winds, plain-enamel wire, and AlNiCo II magnets. The 303 gives slightly hotter output and fuller mids while keeping the vintage clarity and dynamic response that made PAFs legendary. Bass is richer without getting muddy, mids are forward but musical, and highs remain smooth and articulate. Chords ring with definition, and single notes respond to every nuance of your playing. When pushed into overdrive, these pickups break up clearly and maintain note clarity.
