Here's a super rare 1974 or 1975 Ibanez Rocket Roll Medallion Flying V in original Mahogony finish. Nothing was off limits in those fun-loving lawsuit era years and even the smallest details and limited editions that Gibson and Fender had done were being painstakingly recreated by the fine folks at the FujiGen Gakki in Matsumoto Japan. If you're looking at this then you probably know that Gibson released the Medallion V in 1971 and made around 350 of them so it was ripe for a rip-off and here we are. I couldn't find any production numbers or even reasonable guesses as to how many Medallion V's were produced by Ibanez only that 1975 was the year for it. They had been putting out the Rocket Roll models since 1972 so these are the limited edition of those.
This particular example has the original Maxon Super 60's zebra humbuckers that sound amazing. The tuners have been swapped out to Schallers but thankfully no new holes were drilled. All of the plastic is original as are the witch hat knobs. The 3-way switch has been replaced. There's a few nicks and dings here and there but nothing highly noticeable. It comes housed in the original 4-latch hardshell case and it is missing the upper piece of one latch.
Please feel free to ask any questions and thanks for looking.
