Vintage Ampeg B-25 head with original vinyl head cover and matching Ampeg 4x12 cabinet from the coveted “blueline” era, serial number 082158. These early B-25 rigs are widely considered one of the best-sounding tube bass amps Ampeg ever produced—huge, warm, and punchy with the unmistakable Ampeg low-end authority.

The B-25 delivers 55 watts of all-tube power, and through the original Ampeg 4x12 cabinet (w/ it fully functional dolly) it produces a surprisingly big, focused sound that works equally well for bass, guitar, or keys. This is the classic late-60s Ampeg tone heard on countless recordings.

Cosmetically it's remarkably clean, with only the slightest hints of wear, far fewer and lighter than you'd expect a vintage amp of this age—a few very minor scuffs and pitting on the chrome cabinet corners, but overall this rig presents extremely well and retains that fantastic vintage Ampeg look with the distinctive blueline panel. Honestly, it looks like it's a year old, tops, not 57 years old. No joke/hype.

Most important: The amp/cab sound great and deliver the classic tube warmth that made these rigs legendary.

This is a fantastic vintage Ampeg tube head/stack—big tone, great looks, super clean, and increasingly hard to find as a complete matching set. Recently serviced to update to a three-prong power cord, remove oxidation in tube sockets, and replace a couple tubes and caps. Extremely clean signal now, sounds juicy and great. Cabinet is mounted onto its original dolly, wheels work great. You will not ever find one of these in better cosmetic or playing condition unless you find it in a time capsule.
