This guitar weighs 7.0 pounds and is in mint/excellent condition. The reverse Jackson headstock is what makes this model Jackson guitar truly special. Gloss black Jackson Dinkys with reverse headstocks are surprisingly rare and hard to come by a good example. Especially the MJ series, which has the made in Japan, rock solid, meticulous quality without getting into the exuberant price range of the made in USA Jackson and Custom Shop USA Jackson guitars. There are only 2 other listings of this exact model with the gloss black finish that are currently listed on Reverb. The fingerboard is very dry right now and just needs some fingerboard oil to come back to life and darken and shine real nice. Everything is stock and excellent condition with a small chip in the paint on the left side of the body around where your arm rests over. This model features a mahogany body that has a round sculpted neck heel instead of a block style neck heel like fender guitars to play high up on the neck comfortably, and a bolt on 5-piece maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple graphite reinforced neck with a satin finish for smooth, sticky-free playing. The fingerboard is made of solid ebony wood and has a 12"-16" compound radius with 24 jumbo frets, rolled fingerboard edges, luminlay side dots, and pearloid sharkfin inlays. The guitar features a heel mount truss rod adjustment wheel for modern ease of use. The tuning hardware is all Gotoh made in Japan parts to go along with the rest of the guitar which is made in Japan. The tuning hardware features a Gotoh GE1996T Series Floyd Rose Style Double Locking Tremolo with a brass block, and Gotoh Sealed Die-Cast Tuners at the headstock to make for a solid, quality tuning system even with the Gotoh locking nut in place. For the pickups this model has a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan Jazz humbucker in the neck position. You can go from the lower output, warm sound in the neck to the high output bite in the bridge position plus there is a 5 way selector switch that features coil-splitting so you can even produce single coil tones with this guitar. The Jackson Foam Core Case is included with the guitar and is quality, relatively light, and does a perfect job of protecting the guitar.
