For sale is a beautiful 2002 Gibson Les Paul Classic in Heritage Cherry Sunburst. This guitar is a prime example of the "Good Wood" era, featuring the high-quality mahogany and traditional solid feel that players hunt for. Unlike the later chambered models, this guitar has the traditional 9-hole weight relief, giving it the sustain and "thump" a real Les Paul is known for. It weighs at about 9lbs

Updates for 2002: This model features the "Classic" script on the headstock and the slim-taper '60s neck profile that makes it incredibly fast and easy to play.

The Tone (Major Boutique Upgrade): The original ceramic pickups (often considered too "hot" for this model) have been replaced with a $300 set of EP Custom Handwound PAFs. These are vintage-spec (49.2mm) humbuckers with 42AWG Heavy Formvar wire and Alnico 5 magnets. At a 7.6k ohm output, they transform this guitar into a vintage-voiced machine with incredible clarity, "bloom," and touch sensitivity.
