Ultra Rare Fully Custom Hand Built MIJ Japan Semi Hollow Guitar - Aozax Black Nitro Laquer Gibson ES-347 Copy

Up for sale is a very special guitar - Aozax Gibson ES-347 Copy. The guitar was brought from Japan, where it was custom made and fully build by hand of talented Japanese luthier - Aoza, who work in his custom shop, located in Oita City, Oita Prefecture.

This guitar is simply a state of art, as it was built with the precision and attention to details, you can expect from Japanese masters of their craft. Unfortunately I don't have the exact details about the wood that was used for this build. I spoke to luthier, but he wasn't able to provide these details, as the guitar was made 12 years ago, when he wasn't really making a full records about each build. However he told me that this guitar was built, using carving from solid wood method, which is far superior and more complex, compare to the more traditional bending technique, used in making most of the semi-hollow body guitars.

The back looks like it was made from 1 piece dark mahogany, as well as the neck. The top looks like it was made from 1 piece of maple (or other light wood). The fretboard made of ebony with the real mother of pearl inlays. The nut is bone. Also there is an underbridge part, made of some exotic dark wood. The guitar is fully finished in nitro lacquer. Also there is a decal on the guitar's headstock, which says "Crafted for Y. Eguchi" - the person, the guitar was originally built for, which adds a nice piece of history to the instrument's mojo. The bridge and the tailpiece are made by GOTOH. The tuners are premium locking type, made by GOTOH. The pickups are GIBSON Burstrbuckers, from 2013.

As for the condition, the guitar has some wear and tear, but nothing terrible - overall looks really great. The guitar was fully cleaned and set up with Rotosound 9-46 strings + the fretboards was treated with lemon oil, so it is fully ready to be loved and played.
