From The Web:
Cult-classic Garage Rocker with Modern Performance
The Epiphone Crestwood Custom celebrates a pioneering early electric guitar design. Back in the day, the Epiphone Crestwood Custom shared the factory floor with Gibson’s now-historic instruments at Gibson’s Kalamazoo, Michigan, factory. Like its siblings, the Epiphone Coronet and the Epiphone Wilshire, the Crestwood Custom has the soul of a garage rocker, evoking the subversive sound of bands like The 13th Floor Elevators, ? & the Mysterians, and MC5. This contemporary incarnation features all the hallmarks of the original design: a symmetrical double-cutaway mahogany body, a set mahogany neck, two-vintage-voiced mini humbuckers, and a slick Tremotone vibrato tailpiece. Still, this is a fully modern machine with top-notch appointments, including high-quality CTS pots, a Graph Tech nut and saddles, a reduced-size Kalamazoo headstock with an Epiphone Bikini badge, and a lightning-fast 12-inch-radius fingerboard. Guitarists have been clamoring for a re-release of this cult classic. Now that it’s here, we can’t keep our hands off of it!
PRO Mini Humbuckers Provide Vintage-Inspired Tone
The two Epiphone PRO mini humbucking pickups provide a clear, articulate tone reminiscent of '50s and '60s era guitars. With focused highs, punchy midrange and tight lows, the mini humbuckers excel at everything from rock and blues to jazz and country. Combined with high-quality CTS potentiometers, these pickups ensure the Crestwood Custom sounds as good as it looks.
Easy-Playing Neck and 12" Radius Fingerboard
The Crestwood Custom's glued-in mahogany neck has a comfortable medium C-profile and 12" radius Indian laurel fingerboard, making it easy to play. 22 medium jumbo frets provide a familiar feel for guitarists accustomed to modern fretboards. An eye-catching pearloid block inlay graces the neck, harkening back to the earliest Epiphone designs.
High-Performance Hardware and Vintage-Style Bridge
The Crestwood Custom features high-performance hardware for tuning stability and sustain, including an Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge with Graph Tech TUSQ saddles and Tremtone vibrato tailpiece. The bridge provides a rock-solid anchor for each string while the tailpiece adds subtle vibrato effects. Top hat knobs, an ivory toggle switch tip, and ivory tuning buttons complete the vintage aesthetic.
Head-turning looks from period-correct aesthetics
Strapping on the Crestwood Custom will make you look like the coolest guitarist on your scene. This idiosyncratic, head-turning axe starts with an early-model, symmetrical double-cutaway shape, but it doesn’t stop there. Its distinctively shaped pickguard is emblazoned with an eye-catching stylized “E” logo, and its reduced-size Kalamazoo headstock is adorned with an impossible-to-ignore Epiphone Bikini badge. Period-correct top hat knobs and ivory tuning buttons complete this guitar’s killer look.
