Up for sale is a vintage 1981 Gibson Les Paul Standard in natural finish.

This guitar is a classic Norlin-era Les Paul featuring a carved maple top, solid mahogany body, and the correct 3-piece maple neck. It retains what appear to be the original Gibson patent-number humbuckers from the early 1980s Tim Shaw era. These pickups are sought after for their vintage PAF-inspired tone and were used by Gibson during the early 1980s.

The guitar plays great and received a professional refret and setup in 2021. The refret makes it a fantastic player while preserving the rest of the guitar’s originality. The electronics, pickups, hardware, and finish all appear to be original.

Cosmetically the guitar shows honest wear consistent with a 40+ year old instrument including light scratches, small dings, and normal play wear. Nothing unusual for a guitar of this age and it presents very well overall.
