The Buffet Crampon R13 Greenline is a professional-level clarinet that uses a proprietary composite material designed to prevent cracking while maintaining the acoustic properties of natural wood. First developed in 1995, the Greenline version of the iconic 1955 R13 model is particularly popular among touring musicians and military bands who frequently perform in varying climates.
Unlike traditional wood instruments, the Greenline body is engineered for stability in extreme humidity and temperature.
Composite Composition: The body is made from a blend of 95% powdered grenadilla wood and 5% polycarbonate fiber and epoxy resin.
Crack Resistance: Because the material is pressure-formed and stable, it is virtually immune to the expansion and contraction that causes natural wood to warp or crack.
Bore Design: It features the signature R13 poly-cylindrical bore, which is hand-burnished to improve intonation across all registers.
Pads are in good condition. Wood is good. Plays well.
