1965 Silvertone 1457 Guitar and Amp combo.
The guitar is in awesome condition for its age and plays well. New stings, pots cleaned and lubed. All original electronics. Even has the original guitar cord and it works great. The only issue with the guitar is that the lipstick cover on the treble pickup has a split in it on the high sting side. Doesn't seem to effect the sound. Action is low and very playable.
The amp is all original and works as it should with a minimal amount of capacitor buzz.
I have had and sold a few of these Silvertone amp-guitar combos now and this is the nicest one I have come across so far.
The Silvertone 1457 (1964–1967) is a iconic "amp-in-case" electric guitar manufactured by Danelectro for Sears, featuring a distinctive red-sparkle finish, Masonite construction, and two lipstick pickups. It is known for its gritty, lo-fi tone, 25-inch scale length, and a tube-driven amp built into the original carrying case.
