BETA-V – Bass Preamp

The BETA-V is a bass preamp pedal designed to capture the warmth and grit of favorite vintage tube amps. It recreates the distinctive drive and tone often associated with classic bass amplification.

While modern lightweight bass heads and cabinets offer convenience, classic Ampeg style tube amps are known for the way they compress clip and round out your signal. With the BETA-V you can combine that character with modern convenience in an easy to use pedal format.

The classic Beta bass architecture has been reworked and expanded delivering a wider range of tones. The low pass filter now has two settings for bumped or scooped mids along with a center bypass setting for a more transparent response. The Drive control has also been reworked to better accommodate lower gain applications or hotter basses.

The BETA-V includes an active two band post gain EQ allowing you to boost or cut highs and lows with a flat response at the center position.

The Beta-V is designed to be something you set and forget. This version provides a wider tonal palette and additional controls while maintaining the same core idea of finding a sound you can leave on.

Classic Tube Saturation

The BETA-V provides a wide range of saturation inspired by the warmth thump and breakup of classic Ampeg B series tube amps.
