Up for sale is this vintage 1984 G&L Skyhawk electric guitar. A George Fullerton design, featuring an "evolved" double-cut design with a hint of "offset" thrown in, this short-lived model isn't often seen and this one was obviously one of someones favorite instruments and for good reason...

This instrument looks to be all original with the exception of the set of Fender Noiseless pickups that are currently installed as well as the tremolo arm (a loose fitting arm is included). The original black finish is in good condition although it does show fairly heavy wear, especially on the butt-end of the body along the back edge (pictured). The finish on the neck shows heavy wear as well and it's clear that this instrument was played a LOT over the years. The original hardware has held up nicely, but does show some wear and pitting.

This one has just been gone over by our tech who cleaned it up, sprayed out the electronics, installed a fresh set of strings, and adjusted the set up. It plays great with comfortable, low action all the way up the neck. He did note that the original frets show heavy wear but that, with the way the instrument set up, it isn't a cause for concern at this point. The guitar feels great in hand and it's clear why it shows so much wear, it's truly just that good of a guitar...

A non-original hardshell case is included and has been stenciled with the G&L logo. The case is in good condition for its age, but does show wear. All of the latches and hinges are present and function as they should. The instrument will be well-packed inside and out to ensure safe shipping.
