If you’ve ever chased the swagger of 1970s rock and roll, this 1978 Fender Telecaster Custom puts you right in the zone. The bright, spanking tele bridge, combined with the big, punchy tone of the Fender wide range pickup in the neck are perfect for that period correct rock and roll vibe.

This USA made, 78 Telecaster Custom retains all the original electronics, hardware and pickups, making it a very honest original example. The combination of ash body, maple neck, Gibson inspired switching configuration, and the original CuNiFe Wide Range Humbucker make the 70s Tele Custom part Les Paul, part tele, but ultimately, entirely its own thing.

This guitar is finished in the original urethane gloss. While the body of this guitar is virtually unmarked, with only a couple of small nics, there are some chips in the finish on the fretboard. This is likely due to the original owner wearing rings when they were playing. This is a rather common situation for Fenders of this era, and further evidence of its originality.

This guitar has no modifications. All the wiring, pickups, tuners etc are all original to the instrument. What’s more, this guitar comes with a load of original 1970s case candy, including original sales receipts, warranty slips, original Allen key in pouch, and the original ash tray bridge cover.

This guitar, previously owned by a collector, has been well looked after, even the original hard shell case is in exceptional condition.

This is a stunning original instrument that sounds as good as it looks.
