If you know vintage Fender amps, you already understand the reputation of the early-’60s Bassman. This 1962 example delivers exactly what made these amps legendary: huge clean headroom that transitions into an aggressive, harmonically rich roar when pushed.
The amp is in mostly original condition and retains its original Oxford speakers, both in excellent working order. Despite some exterior cabinet wear consistent with age, the interior is remarkably clean and well preserved. It’s a powerful, lively amp with the kind of low-end punch and dynamic response that made the Bassman a foundation for countless classic rock and blues tones.
Sonically, it’s everything you want from a vintage Bassman tight bass, articulate mids, and when you lean into it, that unmistakable ballsy breakup that absolutely roars.
