I have a Gretsch G6122T-59 Vintage Select Chet Atkins Country Gentleman here with it's hardshell case. I do not have the paperwork, though it is unequivocably genuine. It will ship in it's original box.

Conditionally this guitar looks great.

The body top looks pretty much immaculate. I did not find any marks or dings. Any superficial signs of use such as guitar pick strumming or superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal. I do not see any formed patterns of soft swirling. The gold hardware looks fantastic. I see just slight signs of use on the palm mute area near the Bigsby, but no fading or pitting or oxidation in the gold hardware.

The body sides and edges show no indentations or bumps or cracks. I found just faint scattered traces of superficial swirling only. It looks very clean.

The body back is the same. I see minimal superficial traces of use only. There is no buckle rash or worming. Nor did I find any singular marks or dings or bumps.

The neck looks as clean as the body. I did not find any marks on the headstock or neck shaft contour. The setup plays fantastic. The frets have no fret wear. The original electronics are working like they should. The case looks nice. Everything looks clean on this guitar.

So this one rates a 9.6 out of 10 and grades as excellent. I found a minimal amount of light surface swirling type traces of use, but no signs of any higher intensity playwear beyond that. The gloss finish and hardware look very nice. The pictures do it justice. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays fantastic.

The Country Gentleman is the biggest and baddest of them all in the Gretsch lineup. It has the Gretsch sound and the Gretsch playability, but inherently has a very big spacious soundstage due to the large body. That said it is not heavy as it is a hollow body. So the tone is big and spacious but still warm, with lots of articulation and bloom.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
