Buffet Crampon R13 Silver Plate Clarinet--New Pads, Gorgeous!

One of several professional clarinets we are offering for sale. This is a Buffet Crampon R13 Bb clarinet in silver plate. S/n 236XXX makes this a nice vintage horn at 1983. It looks hardly played: wood is a nice billet of aged grenadilla with a tight, straight grain and no chips, cracks, or repairs. Tenons are still nice and square with no wobble between joints. Silver plated rather than nickel (currently a $671 upgrade!) and about 99.9% intact with little if any plating wear at all. Just through the shop where it was bore oiled and repadded in the traditional manner with Ferree's double-bladder, pressed-felt pads. Plays very nicely in all registers with a firm feel to the keywork, a warm tone with a solid body and excellent projection, and little resistance. Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth, new SuperSlick chamois swab, and the jeweler's screwdriver. All in the slim Buffet pochette case with zippered cover. A great-playing clarinet from a great period, and almost $3,000 less than new!
