This Made in Japan Epiphone LPS-80 Les Paul Standard plays and sounds great! This guitar has a slim neck profile and was available exclusively for the Japanese domestic market. Overall in excellent condition. Very well made instrument! Includes hardcase.
The Epiphone MIJ LPS-80 Goldtop is a high-quality Les Paul Standard crafted in Japan’s Fujigen factory (roughly 1998–2000s), designed for the Japanese Domestic Market. These models feature a solid mahogany back, a carved maple top (no chambering), and a mahogany neck, often rivaling Gibson’s USA production in quality. Key features include PAF-style humbuckers, “open book” headstock, and Gotoh-sourced hardware, offering a vintage, authentic feel at a mid-range price point.
