Beautiful sounding and playing MIJ Goya just back from the luthier. It is a very high quality guitar. These were made for only a couple of years. This guitar has been through a lot but is structurally sound (the neck heal had a crack in it and has just been professionally dowel reinforced and is very solid- see photos). Good action and, remarkably, very little fret wear. Martin Organization made. As seen in the price list, this guitar retailed for $429 in 1977 - which would be around $2300 today. I have read that these are all solid wood but doubt it given that it is 1970s MIJ. The spruce top, though, is solid and the back and sides are rosewood. The catalog says the bindings are MOP but they are actually very nice abalone. This one shows some significant finish wear but is a perfect player with low action and room to lower further if desired. It has a balanced, strong and powerful voice with both good bass and treble. Priced low because of the cosmetic wear. Comes with a polyfoam case.
