The Roland SDE-1000, an early digital delay line, one of the Rolands first ventures into effects units.
The SDE series offers user-friendly and straightforward operation, featuring a simple front panel and interface. The influence of the SDE-1000 and SDE-2000 can be observed in contemporary products from Korg and Yamaha.
The unit delivers a smooth, analog-like sound that was well-regarded at the time, and surely still is now. The maximum delay time ranges from 374 mS to 1210 mS, with the ability to adjust the clocking for extended delay time.
The SDE-1000 has a 4-digit blue fluorescent display to indicate the delay time, with convenient controls to adjust the settings. The VCO offers speed and depth controls, allowing users to create deep chorusing effects or subtle shifting delays with phasing. The SDE-1000 includes memory slots to store user presets.
PSU works on 240V, EU power cord attached.
