This guitar was made by a luthier in Tucson AZ who ran a business called the Elden Luthiery.
This luthier is still active and has an instagram page.
I got a guitar kit (they used be sold back then) as a diy project for a birthday gift but I had no experience in assembling a guitar, let alone finish the wood and paint it etc.
The luthier above was able to put this all together into something completely unique.
When it was first completed it had stock Alnico V pickups. These were muddy and kinda meh. It also initially had a flat black Floyd Rose Licensed bridge and nut.The toggle switch was only 3 ways, Bridge, both and middle.
After a few weeks of playing it, I decided to change out the pickups to DiMarzio Evolution 2 in bridge and neck positions.
Then the bridge was upgraded to Genuine Floyd Rose 1000 Series in Black nickel.
The toggle switch was upgraded to a Free-way 6 position switch which allows you to have the B, B+M and M sounds as well as Coil split, Series and parallel sounds in the same combinations.
The neck is thin and comfortable The guitar itself is light, so less fatigue.
It comes with the pictured strap that is the same color as the guitar.
The neck is maple with rosewood fretboard. You may notice that the back of the neck and the headstock all have the same color.
This kind of coloring is usually found in boutique and high end models.
Notice also the locking tuners in metallic matte green by Sperzel.
For me this was a labor of love. It cost a lot of money to get this guitar made and upgraded ($1500 in total - Guitar build + paintjob cost $700, Pickups cost around $300 from DiMarzio website, Free-way switch $57, Floyd Rose Bridge was $250, the strap was $35, Sperzel locking tuners in matte metallic green $275).
But you can buy this 1 of a kind guitar for half that, right here.
