I am at least the second owner of what as far as I could research is a high end custom built DC400. I have included a pic of the serial number as well as a Google AI search result of the likely specs. Due to its custom build, I was unable to determine when it was made (late 90's from what I can tell) nor the exact specs with any certainty. What I can tell you is it's in very good condition with a recent set up and inspection. All electronics, passive and active, function properly. An extremely versatile tone machine. Stays in tune very well with its string-through bridge and locking tuners. Well taken care of, in amazing shape for its age.

Ash body with flame maple top, neck-through maple neck with ebony fingerboard and abalone block inlays.

Translucent burst finish with matching headstock. It's a difficult color to describe. Kind of a Midnight Blue fading into a Sapphire with just a hint of green. I hope the pics do justice.

25" scale length. I do not know the nut width, but it feels comparable to my Tele's.

24 medium jumbo frets

To the best of my knowledge, Carvin C22B and C22N humbuckers

Fixed string-through bridge

Sperzel locking tuners

Chrome hardware in very good condition, no flaking or pitting

Active electronics featuring master volume and tone, 5-way pickup selector, dual coil tap mini-switches, and active EQ boost/cut for bass and treble controls. A phase switch as well as a push/pull volume knob to switch between active and passive modes. Active mode offers volume, bass, and treble controls. Not gonna lie, I had to find a YouTube video to understand the electronics. But once you get the layout, it's really pretty basic. One set of control values for passive, one for active. I used passive settings (push/pull knob up) 90% of the time. But the active mode is great for acoustic simulators or when you want that EMG compressed metal thing. It definitely chunks if that's your gig.
