Here’s a very cool, uncommon piece from A&F. This is the Rude Boy 3” x 12” Solid Oak Snare in Natural Oak, built from a single steam-bent plank of premium oak, not a multi-ply shell. The result is a snare that feels small in the hands, but sounds bigger than it has any right to, with a quick, woody fundamental and a surprising burst of crack when you lay into it.

The steam-bent, single-ply construction brings out strong sensitivity, clear note separation, and a wide tuning range, from tight and articulate to fatter and more open. It’s a killer option as a main snare if you like a tight voice, and it also shines as a side/aux snare for accents, effects, and quick backbeat punctuation.

Appointed with single-flanged brass hoops, A&F Patented Patina hardware, deluxe center-mounted dual-sided lugs, and A&F-branded Remo heads. Handcrafted in Austin, Texas, with the intentional, handmade character A&F is known for.
