Vintage 70s Ludwig 22” x 14” Black Cortex Bass Drum Shell w Lugs
Black Cortex is getting harder to find. 1970’s Pointy Blue Olive badge 1,683,xxx. 10 large classic lugs. Center post adjusts and holds as it should. Spur mounts operates fine. Chrome looks good with minor pitting. 3 ply shell with re-rings. Black Cortex finish has scratches and scrapes. Front bearing edge shows wear as it was played for a while without a head. Batter bearing edge is good. Heads go on easily and spin freely. Prior owner etched his name and serial number inside and a number on one lug. No heads, tension rods / claws, spur legs - just what you see in photos. Please refer to photos which are considered a part of the description.
* In separate listings are other 6 ply drums, 16 floor, 12 and 13 toms plus 3 ply 22” bass drum shell. (4 piece kit had relatively close serial numbers but a mix of 3 and 6 ply shells.
