Serial number: 000165 — a very early unit.

The MD8 was one of the early affordable British digital drum machines, popular with home studios and electronic musicians in the 1980s. It offers programmable drum patterns, MIDI capability, and a straightforward interface that makes it surprisingly quick to build patterns and songs.

Its lo-fi early digital character gives it a very distinctive sound that works brilliantly for vintage electronic music, synthwave, experimental production, and retro home studio setups.

The cassette supplied originally allowed users to store and load patterns, a wonderfully nostalgic feature of early digital gear.

Condition

Very nice overall cosmetic condition and fully functioning.

Includes the original box and accessories, which are rarely still present together. The box shows some expected age-related wear but remains very presentable.
