Up for grabs is a sweet set of 3-ply clear interior Ludwig drums in sizes 9x13, 16x16, and 14x24. They need some overall cleaning and TLC, but mostly everything is present and what is present is genuine Ludwig parts from the era.
The 13 and 16 are blue/olive badged, and the 24 is a keystone badge drum. They feature original, non-rewrapped Green Sparkle finish, which is highly rare and desirable from this era. All heads currently on the kit are included, including the New Old Stock 24” logo resonant head. It had never been put on a drum until I put it on this one a couple weeks ago.
The only extra holes are the ones made by a double tom mount being drilled into the bass drum. It was originally drilled for a rail consolette and shell-mount cymbal holder, which is the first instance I’ve ever seen of this on a keystone-badged green sparkle 24.
The pictures mostly describe the state of the drums. They will need some cleaning and, on the 16, a wrap seam repair. However, the bearing edges are completely stock and clean on all drums apart from some light chipping on the 13’s resonant side. Modern heads spin freely on the shells (the resonant side of the 16 is a bit tight but I’ve also got a substandard head on it right now).
The 24 needs gull-wing spurs, there are a handful of washers missing for the toms’ tension rods and a couple of the T-rods, the muffler is missing from the 16, and one internal lug screw is missing from the 16. I have most of these parts and if you want, let me know and I’ll look and throw some in when I ship it. I think I have everything except spurs for the 24 in my parts bin.
I have more pictures as well. Please message with any questions. Thanks for looking!
