Up for sale is a meticulously maintained Tone King Imperial Mk I in excellent condition. This is the original 20W, two-channel boutique masterpiece that put Tone King on the map, offering the perfect blend of 1950s "Tweed" grit and 1960s "Blackface" shimmering cleans. What sets this particular unit apart is the pro-level speaker upgrade. I have swapped the stock speaker for a Tone Tubby Red Alnico 12" Hemp Cone speaker (8-ohm). If you find typical ceramic speakers too "brittle," this hemp cone is the answer. It delivers a rich, full spectrum of tone with silky rolled-off highs and a rock-solid bottom end that never gets muddy.
