Tone & Playability
This R9 delivers the classic late-50s Les Paul tone — rich low end, vocal mids, and sweet top end. The Custombuckers provide incredible clarity and dynamic response whether clean or through a cranked amp.
The neck is comfortable and substantial without feeling oversized, making it a joy to play.
Why This One
What really sets this guitar apart is the top. The flame is wide, deep, and extremely three-dimensional, easily one of the nicest tops you’ll find on a Murphy Lab R9.
