This was purchased as a vintage m-260
I then sent it to Stephen Sank to be converted to an RCA ribbon. Mr. Sank is one of the foremost experts on vintage RCA gear and especially their ribbon mics as his father was a microphone designer for RCA in their heyday. As with most (all?) RCA ribbons these require a substantial amount of gain for quieter sources. sank makes a box called a Cloud Lifter to help but I use this with a higher gain Neve-style preamp with no problems. It comes with a custom cable (built for me by Mr. Sank) and its original case. This is a fairly dark but deep and rich sounding mic. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
