A vintage Super Jumbo from the early 1950s with explosive treble response

Gibson / 1952 J-200

A J-200 from the early 1950s white label period.

The neck is densely figured with flame maple, making it a truly captivating instrument worthy of the “King of the Flat Tops” moniker. The neck grip is slightly thinner than a typical early 60s regular neck, yet it still offers a solid, substantial feel. The body sides and back also feature well-balanced flame figure, making this a J-200 that lets you fully appreciate the appeal of maple construction.

The sound delivers a wild, energetic feel with a tight, focused impact. Treble and midrange stand out distinctly, giving even single notes a powerful presence. A standout piece with explosive energy that excels not only in rock and pop but also in the country scene.

[Condition]

The neck and wood components have been inspected and adjusted by an acoustic guitar specialist, with all areas in excellent condition.

The neck is straightened with no buzzing or muffled notes. The 12th fret string height is optimally set at approximately 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side.

The saddle height protrusion is approximately 2.5mm to 3.5mm.
