Here we have a well-played 2013 Firebird V from Gibson! This one sports an ebony finish and is in good condition overall.
Specs include mahogany body wings, a 9-ply mahogany/walnut neck, rosewood fingerboard, neck through construction, trapezoid inlays, Steinberger gearless tuners, and a tune-o-matic bridge. It has a 24.75” scale length, 12” radius, and 1.6875” nut width. It’s loaded with a pair of mini humbucker pickups.
This guitar has been well-played and shows a number of paint chips, dings and scratches across its surface. There is some pick wear on the guard and the parts show light age and patina. There are long scratches, scuffs, and other marks on this one, as well as a round finish blems on the front and back of the headstock from a clip-on tuner being attached for a long period of time.
It weighs in at 7lbs 10oz. The neck measures .800 to .850 at the 1st and 12th frets. It has a 60s slim taper neck with a medium/slim depth and nearly flat apex. This guitar is lively and resonant with a woody tone off of the body. The pickups are articulate with a biting mid range. Overall a fine player’s guitar!
