For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1994 Heritage Golden Eagle archtop jazz guitar.

This premier 17-inch archtop jazz guitar comes to us from the former Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, & was hand-crafted by former Gibson artisans. Often compared to the Gibson L-5, it features a solid carved spruce top and solid carved curly maple back and sides, delivering a warm, rich tone suitable for professional jazz performance.

This example from 1994 is in excellent condition with some scuffing at the heel and typical play wear for a guitar that's over 30 years old, but is free of any cracks or major repairs. Aside from its amazing looks, the most immediate aspect we noticed was the superb tone of this instrument. A perfect balance of chiming, articulate trebles and smooth, warm bass makes for a guitar that's a true joy to play. The solid, arched construction of this guitar allows for prime resonance and sustain that can be felt throughout the guitar's body. The bound, flamed maple neck has a slimmer C shape akin to Gibson's 1960s hollowbody guitars and is topped with an ebony fretboard, cloud inlays up to the 12th fret, and block inlays beyond the 12th. If the astounding acoustic tone of this guitar isn't enough, it also features a floating pickup with volume control and an endpin output jack to flawlessly translate this guitar's natural tone for use with studio gear, PAs, or effects. Includes the original hardshell case.
