The PRS Narrowfield MK pickups were carefully voiced to capture the warmth and fullness of humbuckers with the spank and snap of single coils, delivering “thick single-coil sounds without the hum.” Further tonal versatility comes via the five-way pickup selector switch (coil split configurations at positions 2 and 4) and the push/pull Preset Tone Roll Off at the Tone knob, which darkens the bridge pickup and adds further richness to the signal.
