Classical guitar handcrafted by master luthier Vicente Perez Checa in his workshop in Baza (Granada) in 1980. Select spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides in the body. As a special feature, the luthier used a double back as reinforcement of laminated pau ferro inside, giving an incredible sound projection, a very powerful sound in the bass strings while the treble strings have a sharp and very clear sound, characteristic of this luthier. Cedar neck and granadillo fingerboard. 660mm scale and 53mm nut width. Vicente Perez Checa, born in 1932, he was an expert luthier from Granada, making guitars of extreme quality, all artisanal, a direct descendant in the trade of his uncle Alfonso Checa Plaza (a mistake that many people believed was his father, in fact I live a few km from Baza) and working with Enrique Sanfeliu, in addition to sharing his workshop at calle Agua 22 in his native Baza with Pedro Martinez Peñalver and his own son Jesús. In very good condition, with no cracks or breaks, only the typical signs of aging on a guitar that's around 50 years old, such as light scratches and very small signs of varnish on the neck.
