Here are some new sides for your Chroma Polaris made from solid walnut. These are crafted copying the shape of the original Polaris sides and are much prettier than the originals that came in black painted wood. (see listing photo of beat up original sides. Likely, yours are beat up too by now and could use a new pair of these.
After a 5 grit step sanding process, they are hand finished with a dark walnut stain and sprayed with several coats of a beautiful, durable polyurethane top coat. This proves superior to the gooey beeswax and oil finish many sellers are using as a time cutting shortcut.
Pilot holes will be drilled for you for making attachment to the metal brackets a breeze. You will be using your existing brackets.
**This listing is or the wooden cheeks only and not the metal mounting brackets. The brackets pictured are for illustration only. You will be using your existing brackets and attaching them to these new side cheeks. I will have pilot holes drilled for you for the brackets, making the bracket exchange a breeze.
Again, the sides will be crafted out of solid walnut which is quite expensive and will make your rare Polaris look better than it did the day it came out of the factory. A progressive 5 step sanding process and a nice polyurethane finish will really bring out the beauty of the natural walnut. Unlike some sellers that spend a whopping 5 minutes to slop on some sticky oil or gooey wax, these will be finished with a real finish of oil based stain and a clear satin polyurethane finish.
Also available alternatively, a finish of sprayed black, similar to the originals.
**I hate to state the obvious, but this auction is for a replacement custom wood sides only. This auction is not for a synthesizer, just the replacement Chroma Polaris wood.
**This is a custom 0rder item. Upon purchase, I will start work on it and and normally have it shipped within 10 days.
Testimonials:
Just transferred the electronics to the chassis that you built and I must say this piece is a work of art. Everything fit perfectly and It looks like it should have back in 1980. It is well worth the money. Taking my time it took me about an hour. I took some photos before I disassembled for reference and I didn't even need them because everything fit like the original. Your effort is 100 percent better than Korg's laminated press wood board and looks to match. Thanks, D.H
Great job on the case! I'm a happy customer and my PolySix will be happy too!!! - F.W.
I've also made hardwood end panels for the Kawai SX-240 and chassis for the Korg Mono/Poly and here are some testimonials on those: "It arrived safely and I appreciate having my Mono/Poly looking like an 11/10 better than it did from the factory."- M.N
"Just got the appropriate hardware to get everything back into place and put it together. They came out great! Thanks. I took a couple pics I will send them later. So happy. Thank you!" - M.B.
"Wood Side panels for Kawai SX240 EXACTLY as described, packed well, Quick Ship!" - R.P.
Local pickup is fine in the Chicago burbs and if you pick up, I'll delete the shipping charge.
