Ronnie and his team at Critter hand-solder the circuits, and even fabricate the enclosures—including cutting, drilling, bending, and powder-coating—by hand. They specialize in boutique, high-headroom overdrive and fuzz pedals. Love this pedal. I only used it a handful of times at home.
NEW! (The) AMERICAN FUZZ is a Big Muff but on steroids. It is half original and half civil war style muff. This pedal has a charge pump and half of the circuit runs at 18v with the 9v you supply it. It does this by making the ground -9v! Half of the circuit is op-amp based, half is transistor based. I fully believe in this design. My socks are knocked off, personally. Sonically, these pedals are very well balanced.
Runs on a standard 2.1mm center negative 9v power supply.
Never toured with it. It was a bit too much fuzz for me.
