For your consideration, a classic and highly sought-after vintage piece—an original hardshell case for Gibson Les Paul Standards from the mid 1950s, frequently seen adorning the “Goldtop” Les Paul Standards 1953-1957.

These cases were the period-correct OEM (original equipment manufacturer) protection for those iconic guitars, featuring 5 latches (including one locking), flat top and C-shaped handle. The brown/pinkish combo is iconic for Les Paul Standards of the mid ’50s.

As you can tell this one is in great shape with no funky smells (a common issue with old cases from moisture/mold). That alone makes it stand out, as many surviving examples show heavy wear, tape repairs, or odors. They’re relatively rare in clean condition because they were workhorse cases for gigging musicians back in the day. The guitars pictured is not included.
