Hand wound Abigail "Abby" Ybarra pickups from the Mike Eldred era.

For sale is a rare Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition set of Stratocaster pickups personally hand-wound by Abigail Ybarra in 2000. This is one of only 300 sets produced, individually signed "Abby" by Abigail Ybarra herself.

These are true hand-wound examples, of Abigail artistry. Custom Stagger with low G poles. Featuring vintage '60s-style specs: gray bottom bobbins, heavy Formvar wire, Alnico magnets, reverse-wound middle pickup.

I personally wired this set using 100% Fender Custom Shop parts. A mid 2000's FCS Time Machine Nitrate Celluloid Pickguard, aged FCS plastics. Wired to a 2020 FCS Fat 60's harness with FCS Hotrod Caps and Grease Bucket Bridge tone pot.

I cannot stress the artistry and thought that went into putting this set together, the realist is true Fender tone.

Abigail Ybarra ("the Queen of Tone") worked at Fender from 1956 until her retirement in 2013, hand-winding pickups for countless iconic instruments played by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and others. These limited sets from the early 2000s (often distributed to staff/customers) are among the most collectible and sought-after in Fender history due to their personal involvement and scarcity.
