Up for sale is a rare and beautiful Bach Stradivarius Model 37 Bb trumpet, serial #393507.

This is not your standard silver-plated horn. This 1992 Elkhart-era Strad features a factory gold-plated finish over silver. Gold-plated Bachs are prized by professional players for their incredibly rich, dark tonal core and effortless projection.

Condition & Aesthetics:

Being a 30-year old "player's horn", the finish shows the character of a life well-lived. There are a couple small dents - one on the bell that should be visible in one or two pictures, and one on valve 2 slide, which I recently had mostly removed. There is a modest amount of gold wear overall from wear and some years sitting, where the underlying silver plating has some natural tarnish coming through. This patina is strictly cosmetic and does not affect the sound or structural integrity of the brass.

The silver showing through is from natural silver oxidation (expected after some years of non-use). I removed a good bit of it already, but left the remnant spots as-is to protect the gold plating
