Here we have a 1965 Framus Strato de Luxe, Germany's answer to the Fender Jaguar and Jazzmaster, in standard sunburst finish. While never reaching the popularity of the guitars that they borrowed so much from these are still pretty cool instruments from the heyday of "We'll try and put anything together to sell!" The attention to detail is actually pretty cool when you take in the whole guitar. Everything from the chrome steel plates for the knobs and switches balanced against the psychedelic wood grain pickguard to the easy-to-get-lost bridge cover, string mute, tremolo cover and whammy arm just screams 60's cool. You'll find all of those easy to lose items here on this one btw.
It does have it's dings and finish checking associated with these but the checking isn't nearly as bad as most that I've seen. The pickup selector switch for the neck pickup isn't working and one of the switches down by the control knobs also isn't working. I did spray some contact cleaner in both and work them back and forth to no avail. Everything on this guitar is 100% original including the black and white red lined case. The leather straps that are used to fasten two of the buckles are dry rotted and broken but the two hasps work just fine.
Fell free to ask any questions or to request any other detailed photos and I'm happy to reply. Thanks!
