2019 was arguably the best year, quality-wise, for the new regime at Gibson. Their entire line was top-notch. They needed to put their best foot forward for the relaunch. And they did not disappoint.
This is a 2019 Gibson Custom Shop R8. The finish was lightly-aged at the factory. It is not a Murphy Lab. The folks at Gibson described the finish as similar to a closet classic. It's in the same shape as it was the day it shipped. Extremely low use in my studio.
As with most R8s, the neck is very full, yet super-comfortable. This thing rocks. Dial it back a little, and she purrs. Comes with all the case candy. OHSC case.
