This prototype Buddy Rich 100th Anniversary clear acrylic 5.5x14" snare drum is a truly rare and beautiful drum!
in 2017 Trick made a limited edition Buddy Rich White Marine Pearl aluminum shelled snare drum in conjunction with Buddy's daughter Cathy Rich, to honor Buddy's 100th Birthday. A small run of those drums were produced and are still available. The drum we have for sale is a prototype clear acrylic version of the same drum that never made it to production. All of the fittings, badge, heads and hardware are identical to the aluminum version.
To the best of my knowledge, it is the only one ever made. The drum is in perfect unplayed condition and is signed by Cathy Rich.
