Hand wound at the Fender Custom Shop by Josefina Campos, Master Pickup Winder and the natural successor to the legendary Abigail Ybarra, the Tomatillo set shares the same prestigious lineage as the acclaimed Ancho Poblano pickups. Built around hand-beveled Alnico 2 magnets with enamel wire, they're voiced to simulate what a well-aged Alnico 5 pickup from the 1950s would sound like today: clean, chimey, and full of sweet vintage character. The open-coil neck pickup adds an extra touch of high-end sparkle up top, while the staggered-pole bridge delivers that classic Tele snap and bite. Each pickup is hand signed and dated by Josefina herself. These are a rare, collectible set for the discerning player.
