The crown jewel of Hiwatt's UK-designed range, the TB40/20 (T40) has been redesigned for 2024 to offer even greater versatility. It now features a wider EQ sweep for more precise tone sculpting and a revoiced gain channel that significantly increases the range of overdrive on tap. This amplifier starts with the unique, high-headroom Hiwatt clean preamp, paired with a touch-sensitive and highly reactive overdrive channel, all pushed through a blazing quartet of EL84 power tubes.

Designed with gigging musicians and studio players in mind, this head features power scaling technology. This allows you to use the full 40 watts for maximum headroom and crystal-clear articulation, or reduce the output to 20 watts for more natural tube breakup and compression at lower volumes. For players who prefer using their amplifier as a pedal platform, the TB40/20 is equipped with an integrated FX loop and a true spring reverb, providing maximum control over your sound whether you are recording or on stage.
