The Martin HD-28 stands as one of the most iconic acoustic guitars ever built—trusted by generations of musicians and heard on countless classic recordings. Its classic Dreadnought body and scalloped bracing produce the powerful, full-spectrum tone players love: deep, resonant bass, clear, ringing trebles, and lush overtones that have defined the Martin sound for nearly a century. Crafted with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the HD-28 delivers a rich, balanced voice that excels in any style, from strumming to intricate fingerstyle work.
Vintage-inspired details like bold herringbone top trim, an ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond-and-square inlays, and antique white binding give this guitar a timeless look. The satin-finished neck features Martin’s Golden Era Modified Low Oval profile with a high-performance taper for smooth, comfortable playability across the entire 25.4” scale. Nickel open-gear tuners and an ebony bridge with bone pins complete the classic aesthetic.
