Rare Greco Suzi Quatro Thunderbird, Made in Japan 1970s - Sunburst

This Greco Suzi Quatro Thunderbird, Made in Japan in the 1970s, finished in classic Sunburst, is a seriously vibey vintage bass with tons of character. Overall, it’s in good condition and fully functional. The instrument truly sings - it has a very resonant, dry body that vibrates strongly in your hands. Acoustically it’s loud and alive, and when plugged in it delivers that punchy, articulate vintage tone you’d expect from a great Japanese build of this era.

Cosmetically, there are numerous dings, chips, and scratches throughout - honest natural relic from decades of playing. It does not look abused or mistreated; rather, it has that authentic broken-in look that gives it personality and stage presence. Please refer to the photos for full cosmetic details. The bridge pickup cover is not original and the screw holes do not perfectly align, but it is installed and functional.

The bass was sourced directly from Tokyo, Japan and brought over in February 2026. Frets are in excellent condition with plenty of life left, offering smooth playability and comfortable action. This is a lively, soulful vintage Japanese Thunderbird that feels inspiring the moment you pick it up.

The following work has been done: full cleaning, lemon oil fretboard treatment, fret polishing and string height setup, pickup height adjusted for balance and clarity.
