For sale is a matched pair of 1971 Celestion G12M Greenback speakers, model T1220 (8 ohm), featuring their original Pulsonic cones with date code DD25 (April 25, 1971). These are authentic UK-made vintage Greenbacks and among the most sought-after speakers ever produced.
Both speakers are fully functional and have never been reconed. Original Pulsonic cones are intact with no tears, patches, or repairs. Voice coils are healthy with no rubbing or buzzing. They produce the classic warm low end, rich midrange growl, and smooth high end that defined late ’60s and early ’70s British rock tone. Note: One speaker had part of the terminal missing. I was still able to solder to the metal post and the speaker was fully functional. Please see photos.
Perfect for Marshall-style 4x12 cabinets, studio recording, or collectors seeking true period-correct Celestion speakers.
