Here’s something you don’t see everyday. 70’s Rickenbacker 100 watt tube amp, uses 4 x 6L6 power tubes and 3 x 7025, 1 x 12AT7, and 1 x 12AU7 in the preamp. Reverb and Trem work very well. Compared to a Twin Reverb I would say the sound is a bit richer, not hi-fi but a little more articulate than the Fender. I’ve read many consider the sound to be darker, that might’ve been with whatever the stock speakers were, this came to me with Celestion V-30’s which must be an improvement. I think it sounds wonderful, somewhere between a Fender and a Vox maybe. Amp is in very good cosmetic shape. Has casters which is very helpful. Weight wise it’s about the same as 70’s Twin but it’s actually a little bit taller, maybe 4” or so. Has recently received a clean bill of health from local amp tech. Overall a very cool piece. I made the mistake of bringing it home on a day my wife came home early and there’s no room for it in the doghouse with me so it has to go. I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a better deal on a similar amp with free shipping.
