This is a 1980 Greco SE 500 came from Japan to me. I bought six Greco’s from Japan and they never arrive as described. This one got a new fret job with Jascar .090-.095 wire expertly done by Eric of Erics Guitar Shop in Van Nuys, California. This neck is fabulous with dark rose wood fretboard also a bone nut. The neck shape is a comfortable C. Shaped pretty close to my custom shop Fenders. Very comfortable. Guitar has been fitted with a high-quality ABM bridge, a replaced five way switch and AND Illich noise reduction system! The original pots and Maxon pickups are in it, and sound great. Very reminiscent of 62 Strat. Does Frusciante tones beautifully! One of the tone pots is a little scratchy, but could probably be cleaned, but it’s not an annoyance. The weight is 7.85 pounds. It plays very smooth, trem set floating.
This is in the United States no weird fees from coming from overseas, there is 14 day return policy because I know you will love it. I would put this up against any other Greco Strat and most fender strats, including some custom shop ones. This is a great guitar-you will not be disappointed! If you’re looking for a vintage guitar that holds up to much more expensive Strats, this is the best value going. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking!
