Rogers Dayton Era "Holiday" Drum Set 1967 - Blue Onyx

Here is an amazing opportunity to own an incredible set of drums from the golden era of Rogers drums. The build quality and appointments of these drums are impressive; in my (and many others') opinion, better than anything Ludwig or Slingerland was making at the time. The Blue Onyx finish is strikingly beautiful and well preserved, the hardware is clean, and the shells are in round and excellent condition. The kit is almost completely original. This set is a factory matched set, though it likely was sold with a 12" tom that is no longer present, as evidenced by the central tom mount.

Three drums are included:

13x9: excellent condition. Mild wrap scuffs and scratches, and clean hardware. Wrap seam is good. Fully functional muffler and Swiv-o-matic tom mount. Flat gray painted interior, with a rare quirk! The sticker (also in perfect condition) was installed upside down from the factory. Does that increase collector value? Eh, probably not, but I thought it was interesting.

16x16: excellent condition. Minimal wrap scoffs and scratches, though there are a few. Hardware is clean. Wrap seam is good. Rubber feet are unoriginal but in good shape. One unoriginal tension rod. Gray paint and sticker in perfect condition.

22x14: good condition. Rare size! Most Holiday kits came with 20" kick drums. More scuffs and scratches than the other two, particularly a bit of tom rash. Original logo head. A few slightly crooked tension rods that don't affect performance and aren't noticeable with the kit set up. Missing rubber feet. Paint on bass drum hoops is very good with only minor flaws. Wrap seam is good. Bass drum inlay has been reglued. The main issue with this drum is that the Swiv-o-matic tom mount has come off. I'm certain it could be reattached with solder or even epoxy, and I'm included the part in the sale, but I don't want to attempt the repair myself. Gray interior and sticker are perfect.

Please note that the Rogers Memriloc stand in the photo is not included, but is listed separately at the time of publishing and could be negotiated into the sale for a discount. I also have the original double tom mount for sale separately, but you would need to repair the bass drum mount before using. I always have other hardware for sale as well.
